Ben West ~ "Our International Trade Relationships: Gateway to What?"

Wilderness Committee

Ben is the healthy communities campaigner for the Wilderness Committee, Canada's largest membership based wilderness preservation organization with 35 thousand members across Canada. Ben focuses on land use and transportation issues, as well as climate change, watershed protection and air quality. In the last year Ben has focused on the campaign to stop the gateway project and the campaign to protect the UBC Farm.

Ben has also served as spokesperson for the Aurora Institute, an NGO focused on reforming the laws that govern corporations.

Ben is passionate about ecological literacy, environmental justice and green jobs for everyone.
