Intro to SLS: Student Leadership in Sustainability and how to bring it into my classroom
October 17th, 4 pm- 5:30 pm
Here’s an opportunity to investigate leading edge curricular and pedagogical tools to engage student inquiry, both in and outside the classroom, on environmental sustainability. In this workshop you will gain a greater awareness of what SLS: Student Leadership in Sustainability is and how it is used and discuss some of the 21st century pedagogies behind the program design.
This is a great workshop that will give you ideas on things you can incorporate into your classroom and help you decide whether this program is a fit for you and/or your school. This workshop is also useful for any returning teachers wanting a walk through the website and new tools, as we will also discuss the various offerings available and different ways of using them providing a greater understanding of the breathe that SLS offers.
SLS is offered in French Immersion (LEDD) and Distance/Distributed Learning versions as well; this workshop is appropriate for all versions but will focus on the Blended English version.
