Register for Awaken the Dreamer - Be The Change Leadership Training

We're excited to be offering our first ATD-BTC Leadership Training of 2010 March 12, 13 & 14th.  This training is the combined Pachamama Alliance Symposium and Be The Change Action Circles training.   It will be held at The Vancouver School of Theology, UBC, Iona Building.  DOWNLOAD the registration form and send to the email on the form to give us all your registration information.  You may pay by cheque or you use your credit card to pay through Paypal.

Facilitator Training

Be The Change is about empowering citizen leadership. In addition to walking the talk in our own lives, we recognize the importance of reaching out to empower others. The Presentations are designed to be led by concerned everyday folks so they can awaken those around them to new possibilities. Delivering a Symposium can be a powerful act of service.

Facilitator Trainings take participants further into the spirit and the content of the Symposium. You will connect with other engaged citizens and be supported to acquire the experience and resources necessary to create Symposiums in your communities.

The Pachamama Alliance in California offers Symposium Facilitator trainings on a regular basis all over the world, and we highly recommend you attend the one closest to you. Once you are a trained facilitator, you can download all the Be The Change augmented Symposium materials for free.

If a group would like to have a Be The Change training, we will happily come to your community. Trainings range from 4 hours to 2 day intensives.

Becoming a Presenter

The "Introductory Training," is a one-and-a-half day, non-residential workshop. It offers the basic elements so that the participants can immediately go out and bring Presentations or Symposiums into existence in their communities. The Introductory Training is followed by a period of informally learning additional practical information and skills under the guidance of a mentor who is a trained facilitator, or with a team of people in a local community group.

For those who want a deeper grounding in the spirit of the Symposium and in what leadership roles they may play in the Awakening the Dreamer Initiative, they may add to their training by attending a "Deepening Training". The format begins on a Friday evening and concludes late Sunday afternoon, with some held in residential retreat centers and others in non-residential locations.

Both of these trainings are designed for those who want to produce, present from the front of the room, or be on the support team. You will want to attend a Presentation before participating in a training.

Delivering a Presentation is more than just "transferring information"-- at its richest level it is an exploration of who we are in relation to the Earth, in relation to the human community, and in relation to ourselves. Both of these Trainings offer a transformational experience of that exploration.
