Tine Rossing is an accomplished Climate-Compatible Development Specialist with 20 years of experience in the fields of climate change adaptation, ecosystems management, green economy and development gained from working in 27 countries on four continents.Tine is currently Knowledge Manager for a global United Nations Programme on Ecosystem-based Adaptation in Mountain Ecosystems. Before, this assignment, she worked for CARE International, the UN Development Programme, World Bank, DANIDA and the World Resources Institute. While with CARE, she coordinated CARE International's global climate adaptation efforts. In this capacity, she led a team of 3 regional advisors and coordinate a 20-person adaptation theme team within the CARE confederation, which provides strategic direction and technical support to CARE International’s 14 members, more than 80 country offices and strategic partners worldwide on how to translate CARE's Adaptation Strategy into adaptation initiatives that combine rights-based community and ecosystems approaches. She also coordinated the design, production and delivery of training materials and participatory exercises for staff capacity development on climate change adaptation, ecosystem management and disaster risk reduction. In addition, she led and coordinated the participation of CARE delegations in larger technical international adaptation fora.
