Ashley Roszko

Communications and Program Specialist

Ashley Roszko grew up in Treaty Six Territory, in Amiskwacîwâskahikan (colonially known as Edmonton, Alberta), traditional homeland of many Indigenous Peoples such as the Nêhiyaw (Cree), Dené, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) and the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) peoples. Ashley has a MA in Community Engagement from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta; her thesis research focused on developing robust climate resilience plans with municipal government in historically marginalized neighbourhoods. She is passionate about designing inclusive engagement and outreach strategies that bring diverse communities into the conversations and decision making of environmental issues. Ashley enjoys collaborating on emergency preparedness projects, local food initiatives and building small solar powered devices for engagement purposes. In her spare time, Ashley likes running, rock climbing and hanging out with her labradoodle, Basil.
