Curriculum For Change (C4C) gives students the knowledge and tools to understand today’s climate challenges and imagine what change can look like in their own communities. Build climate literacy with a C4C Action Pack, and pair it with a recommended Be the Change Earth Alliance workshop. Scheduled at the beginning, middle, or end of a C4C Unit, a Be the Change facilitator will activate your students’ learning through hands-on, real-world application.

Description

Climate Action, Resilience & Emotions (CARE)

A classroom workshop that helps youth navigate and process their climate-related emotions, build emotional resilience, and take positive environmental action in their communities. 

Habitat Clean-Up

A fun, hands-on outdoor workshop in which students learn about waste, pollution, and ecosystem protection, while becoming part of the solution through environmental stewardship in their community. 

ReconnectING: Imagination, Nature & Gratitude

A two-hour outdoor workshop that helps students reconnect with nature while exploring gratitude and imagination as tools for restoration and resistance. 

Water is Life

 A two-part classroom workshop that deepens students' understanding of the climate crisis, threats to freshwater, and the impact of individual and collective action through discussion and hands-on activities. 

Youth Climate Ambassadors Project (YCAP)

Classroom workshops in which students gain tools, skills, and practices to become effective communicators, active citizens, and confident “Climate Ambassadors”.

  • YCAP: Climate Change & Animals - Students understand climate change and its impacts through climate stories of affected animals and habitats (Grades 1-4)
  • YCAP: Climate Change & Communities - Students understand climate change and its impacts on different communities, and create their own personal climate stories as tools for positive climate action (Grades 5-12)
  • YCAP: Climate Justice - Students learn about climate justice, and create their own personal climate stories as tools for positive climate action (Grades 8-12)
